Does Edison Mail sell user data?
Edison Mail has been reported to access email content to generate market research data, including purchase and travel information, which is sold to financial and investment companies. Edison has stated this data is anonymized, but the practice has raised privacy concerns similar to the Unroll.me data-selling scandal.
Is Smart Mailbox Cleaner safer than Edison Mail?
Yes. Smart Mailbox Cleaner only accesses email metadata (sender, date, size, labels) and never reads email content. Our revenue comes from subscriptions, not data monetization.
Can Edison Mail clean up my Gmail?
