Do you read my email content?

No. We only access metadata such as message size, labels, and dates. Email bodies are never read or stored.

Are my emails permanently deleted?

Emails are moved to the Gmail Trash folder. Gmail purges the Trash folder after 30 days, giving you a 30-day window to undo any actions.
